From September 3 to 7, 2025, Monthey will take center stage as the world capital of Pump Track, hosting the 2025 UCI Pump Track World Championships.
The planet’s top riders will go head-to-head on a demanding course, delivering high-speed action and thrilling moments in a spectacular setting—right in the heart of Valais.
Pump Track is a discipline of mountain biking raced on a looped track filled with whoops, rollers, and bermed turns—designed to be ridden without pedaling. Riders generate speed by "pumping" through the course using their entire body. This high-speed, explosive format demands a unique blend of technical skill, agility, and strategy to emerge victorious from intense head-to-head duels—where every tenth of a second counts.
Organizing such a global sporting event in our town is a real opportunity to promote our beautiful region far beyond traditional boundaries.
Fabrice Thétaz, President of the City of Monthey
This event is an exceptional celebration, placing sport, sustainable heritage, and culture at the heart of the World Championships. For five days, Monthey will offer a unique experience to spectators and visitors, blending these three elements in an innovative way that reflects the expertise of the Chablais region.
Cédric Jayet, president of the Monthey Organizing Committee
I’m incredibly proud to be part of this exciting adventure and to help promote the fast-growing discipline of Pump Track among the next generation of riders!
