Behind the ride.

The world record attempt for the longest bicycle chain is much more than a sporting challenge: it’s a celebration of our cantonal unity. By bringing together thousands of cyclists from the far ends of the canton, from Saint-Gingolph to Obergoms, we are creating a unique moment of sharing and solidarity. This event will leave a lasting impression, offering both young people and cycling enthusiasts an unforgettable experience, while also placing Sion and Valais in the Guinness World Records.

Steve Morabito
President of Valais Wallis Cycling

As a bike rider, I love the idea that Valais 2025 encourages spectators to come to the competition sites by bike. On the three weekends of the championships, we have the chance to join a big wave of cyclists going to the Opening Weekend in Sion, to the Down Hill finals in Champery and the Cross Country finals in Crans Montana. And the itineraries looks amazing! They've chosen bike paths or quiet roads of Valais where we will be able to enjoy the typical landscape of this beautiful region. I'm looking forward to riding to the Champs!

Andrea Sauser
Ride to the Champs participant

I invite you to hop on your bike and enjoy this magnificent event by being active — on your own, with family, friends, or colleagues. Follow the routes recommended by Valais Wallis Cycling and be part of this celebration of cycling! We can all be proud to host such a major event in our beautiful canton.

Stéphane Ganzer
State Councillor of Valais
