Renowned partners join forces with the Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais.

Sion, 31 May 2023. The Valais 2025 UCI CM MTB Association (Valais 2025) is proud to announce its first partners for the Mountain Bike World Championships which will take place from 30 August to 14 September 2025. Alpiq, a leading electricity producer and energy service provider in Switzerland, becomes the « main partner », supported by six official suppliers who bring their expertise to the event.

It’s official! Alpiq joins the 2025 UCI MTB World Championships as a « main partner ». With holdings in the largest hydroelectric developments in Valais, Alpiq is one of the main electricity producers in Switzerland. Central to the production of electricity using water, a renewable and local resource, the Emosson site was chosen for the announcement of this collaboration. It is a perfect illustration of the desire of the Valais 2025 Association and Alpiq to commit to sustainable development in Valais.

Antje Kanngiesser, CEO of Alpiq, is delighted to celebrate this partnership : « There is a great deal of common ground between Alpiq and mountain biking, such as top performance, great respect for nature and the mountains. The Valais 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships also have six official partners whose reputation and knowledge are extremely sound. Plasmacom / Sonoval, Papival, AvescoRent, Kessler, La Valaisanne and Texner will provide their expertise in various fields. These renowned suppliers will support the organisers in achieving an exceptional and sustainable event.
