How to get to Champéry.

The best ways to get to Champéry : all mobility option.

From September 4th to 7th, the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Championships will take place in Champéry. The site is located at the end of a valley with complex accessibility. The best way to get to Champéry is by using public transport or park-and-ride facilities. Bicycle access away from traffic is also available.

Travel smart: by taking public transportation from Monthey to Champéry, you save approximately 15 CHF and reduce your carbon footprint by 5.5 kg of CO₂.

Getting to Champéry by public transport

The entrance ticket includes public transport from Monthey-Ville (TPC) and special shuttle buses and the Grand Paradis chairlift.

The municipality of Champéry is served by trains from Aigle and Monthey.

Access to Monthey Ville is recommended via the Monthey CFF station.

From Champéry station, consider using the Publibike network set up for the event (see the bike section).

Saturday, September 6:
‍
Increased transportation capacity between Monthey and Champéry:
- Train (R72):
Increased frequency – one train every 30 minutes between Monthey-Ville (10min walk from the SBB station) and Champéry (cable car). More information available online on the SBB website or via the TPC app.
- Free special shuttles in Champéry: Continuous service between Champéry (cable car) and Grand Paradis (event site) from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Estimated frequency: every 5 minutes.
- Ski lifts open until 6 p.m. (Champéry cable car, Grand-Paradis and Crosets 8 chairlifts). The Grand Paradis chairlift is the only one that is included in your ticket (no bikes).

‍Sunday, September 7:
‍
- Train:
Increased frequency – one train every 30 minutes between Monthey-Ville (10min walk from the SBB station) and Champéry (cable car). More information available online on the SBB website or via the TPC app.
- Free special shuttles in Champéry: Continuous service between Champéry (cable car) and Grand Paradis (event site) from 8:30am to 10:00pm. Estimated frequency: every 5 minutes.

- Free special shuttles: Continuous service from 8.30am to 6.00pm
- From Morgins (stop near the Volg, free parking available) > Grand Paradis (event site). Estimated frequency: every 15 minutes
- From Monthey (Tamoil parking) > Grand Paradis (event site). Estimated frequency: every 15 minutes
- Ski lifts open until 6 p.m. (Champéry cable car, Grand-Paradis and Crosets 8 chairlifts). The Grand Paradis chairlift is the only one that is included in your ticket (no bikes).

Ride to The Champs: A cycling route is organized from Monthey train stations via Choex. More info

Bicycle parking is available in close proximity to the competition site.

Our partner Publibike also offers you 2 vouchers allowing you to use a bike for 15 minutes (starting from Champéry station).

As space is limited on public transport, bike transport cannot be guaranteed on the TPC network.

Getting to Champéry by car

Due to the expected crowd, we recommend prioritizing active transportation and public transport.

Access to the municipality of Champéry will be significantly restricted. Parking facilities are available around the event site. A free shuttle service will run from the Val d'Illiez and Troistorrents car parks (paid parking) to take spectators to the Grand Paradis event site on Saturday September 6 and Sunday September 7.

Getting to Champéry by motorhome

Camper van parking is only allowed in designated areas.

The "First come, first served" rule applies.

If the campsites near the event are fully booked, consider campsites in the lowlands and use public transport to reach the event.

Reserved areas for people with reduced mobility are available within the event site.

A designated accessible parking area is located near the site.

Recommended pathways for people with reduced mobility are also available.
