Sustainability

The 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais are intended to be an exemplary international event in terms of sustainability. Valais 2025 aligns with the 2030 Agenda of the Canton of Valais and the Sustainability Guidelines of the International Cycling Union (UCI). With this in mind, three axes have been defined by the Organizing Committee in collaboration with the Destinations as well as with the support of the Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions (FDDM). The common denominators of all the operations carried out during the organization and realization of the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais are the following 3 main axes:

• Preserve the mountain and its ecosystem
• Propose a festive, participative and accessible event
• Organize a responsible event that promotes the territory and the Valais population in the long term
